Sandock Austral Shipyard hosted a Women in Maritime event in August 2019. Writers Bureau facilitated the event and used their media networks to ensure a full spectrum of media coverage for the event.
Amongst the national and provincial media houses that were in attendance, the Deputy Minister of Transport Ms. Dikeledi Magadzi lead a dialogue at the event. The event received coverage on SABC news, Pretoria news, Cape Times, The Mercury and IOL (digital).
Writers Bureau coordinated and executed a national roadshow (Grassroot Innovations Project) aimed at unearthing innovators in the Science and Technology space from underprivileged areas. We also profiled companies assisted by CSIR with the view of exhibiting the positive that the government has contributed to the private sector.
Creativity and innovation drove this project as Writers Bureau delivered on a full spectrum of design services for the project. To date, coverage was received on multiple platforms nationwide.

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), an entity of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), which disseminates spatial and non-spatial data that describes, assesses and evaluates the risks and vulnerabilities facing the country. One of the initiatives of the CSIR is the Grassroots Innovation programme which seeks to unearth the country’s next best rural innovators.
